What are KDP Select All Stars?

Each month, Amazon determines the Top 100 Authors in KDP Select (Kindle Digital Publishing Select) whose books were read the most in Kindle Unlimited (KU) and Kindle Owners Lending Library (KOLL). They get designated as ‘KDP Select All Stars’ and get a special bonus, on top of whatever they get from their pages read earnings

How much are KDP Select All Stars Paid?

The Top 100 KDP Authors are paid the following bonuses

1. The Top 10 read authors are paid $25,000 each
2. The Next 10 (#11 to #20) are paid $10,000 each
3. #21 to #30 are paid $5,000 each
4. #31 to #50 are paid $2,500 each
5. #51 to #100 are paid $1,000 each

Please note that the only criteria to determine the Top 100 authors is – how many pages read did their books get. There is no other criteria

Please note that they are paid this bonus on top of

1. Whatever they earned from Pages Read via Kindle Unlimited and Kindle Owners Lending Library
2. Whatever they earned from book sales

So it is a very nice cherry on top of everything

How much are the KDP Select Top Read Books Paid?

There is also a bonus for the Top 100 most read books. The Top 100 Books are paid the following bonuses

1. The Top 10 books are given a bonus of $2,500 each
2. #11 to #50 books are given a bonus of $1,000 each
3. #51 to #100 books are given a bonus of $500 each

Please note that these Top 100 Books are determined entirely by ‘which 100 books were the most read under Kindle Unlimited and Kindle Owners Lending Library’. There is no other criteria

Bonuses in UK are, unfortunately, smaller

The Top 100 KDP UK Authors are paid the following bonuses

1. The Top 10 most read authors are paid 2000 pounds each
2. The Next 10 (#11 to #20) are paid 1,500 pounds each
3. #21 to #30 are paid 750 pounds each
4. #31 to #100 are paid 500 pounds each

The Top 100 KDP UK books are paid the following bonuses

1. The Top 10 books are given a bonus of 500 pounds each
2. #11 to #50 books are given a bonus of 250 pounds each
3. #51 to #100 books are given a bonus of 100 pounds each

How much are KDP Select All Stars Paid in Germany?

The KDP Germany bonuses are, surprisingly, significantly higher than in the UK

1. The Top 10 most read authors are paid 7,500 euros each
2. The Next 10 (#11 to #20) are paid 5,000 euros each
3. #21 to #30 are paid 3,500 euros each
4. #31 to #50 are paid 2,500 euros each
5. #51 to #100 are paid 1,500 euros each
6. #101 to #150 are paid 500 euros each

The Top 100 KDP Germany Books are given bonuses

1. The Top 10 books are given a bonus of 750 euros each
2. #11 to #50 books are given a bonus of 500 euros each
3. #51 to #100 books are given a bonus of 250 euros each
